It can sometimes be easy for a good day to turn bad. But there are things we can try to lift our spirits. We came up with this idea for a group activity for teachers to do with their students and for directors to do with their teachers.
It's not only fun in the moment, but acts as a helpful resource for days to come.
Try it out, and let us know what you think!
Ask students about their favorite memory in the classroom. Write each student's response in a notebook.
When you're having a bad day, pull out the notebook. A smile will surely be brought to your face when you reflect on those sweet moments.
During your one-on-one check-in meetings with teachers, ask about their favorite memory working at your center. Keep each memory written down in a notebook.
When you or your teachers are having a bad day, pull out the notebook to reflect on sweeter memories.
