Act Now: CDA Credential Prices Increasing August 1st
We've got some important news to share that might affect your professional plans this year. The Council for Professional Recognition recently announced they're increasing the prices for CDA® Credentials starting August 1, 2025. This is their first price adjustment since 2013, but it's still a significant change you'll want to plan for.
What's Changing? 💰
Let's break down exactly what this means for your wallet:
Initial CDA Credential:
- Current online application: $425 → New price: $525 (+$100)
- Current paper application: $500 → New price: $600 (+$100)
CDA Renewal:
- Current online renewal: $125 → New price: $250 (+$125)
- Current paper renewal: $150 → New price: $300 (+$150)
That renewal price is doubling! 😮 The timing coincides with the end of the CDA Renewal Amnesty Program, which expires July 31st, 2025.
Why We're Sharing This Now ⏰
We believe in transparency and want to make sure you have plenty of time to plan. The Council has announced that:
- Paper applications must be received by July 1, 2025
- Online applications must be submitted by July 31, 2025
...to lock in current pricing. After these dates, all applications will be subject to the new fees.
