Description
Cognitive development in preschoolers is a subject that has received a lot of attention in recent years, as the field of early education has been elevated as both a profession and a course of study. Early childhood education practices worldwide are based primarily on two major theories of cognitive development. This course will briefly outline pertinent points of the two theories and provide suggestions for activities to promote cognitive development based on them – as well as some activities to avoid when promoting cognitive development in preschoolers.
