Description
Building a strong educational program begins with a solid foundation. Two of the most important pieces of a high quality educational program are curriculum and lesson plans.
The word "curriculum" is often used to describe the daily activities in a classroom. However, curriculum is a much more complicated subject - it is not only
what and
how you teach but also why you teach the way you do. Lesson plans are created based on your curriculum goals and are an essential part of becoming an outstanding educator. Although it may be time-consuming, there are many benefits of writing lesson plans for all ages of children in your care. Using a developmentally appropriate curriculum and lesson plans, regardless of the age of the children, provides administration, teachers, children, and their families with a meaningful, well-researched plan for education.
This course will be divided into two parts:
- Establishing a Curriculum
- Writing Effective Lesson Plans
