Description
Behavior management is one of the most popular and important topics in early childhood education. Nothing makes parents and teachers more frustrated than an inability to understand and manage a young child's behavior. People involved with children need reassurance that behavior can be improved, and they want to increase their understanding of why children behave inappropriately and what to do about it.
This course will help you deepen your understanding of the nature and principles of effective behavior management of young children. Additionally, the class will introduce you to effective practices for teaching young children to behave appropriately to maintain a happy and effective classroom environment, including "10 Big Ideas" for behavior management with young children!
This course will be divided into two parts:
- Part 1 - Principles of Behavior Management: What do we know?
- Part 2 - Principles of Behavior Management: What can we do?
Not all courses are approved for early care and education in every state. Please check State and CEU Approvals page for details.
