Description
Talking to children about death is often an uncomfortable and difficult task for many adults. However, children need the opportunity to ask questions and learn about death from people they trust.
This one-hour course provides basic information about the way children understand death and ways to talk to children in your care about their fears, sadness, and loss. This course covers death that most children will encounter - grandparents, aunts/uncles or other loved ones or animals.
NOTE: Children facing the possibility of their own death due to illness is not in the scope of this course.
Not all courses are approved for early care and education in every state. Please check State and CEU Approvals page for details.
