Description
How children learn has been the subject of many books, theories and methods of teaching for more than a hundred years. Early methods of teaching have been modified to recognize knowledge gained from brain development research and psychologists. For early education professionals, it is very important to learn how children develop and learn in all domains - physical, social/emotional and cognitive.
This course will cover cognitive development of preschoolers, ages three to five. An understanding of cognitive development, including brain development, and how these subjects relate to learning in various subject areas will be covered in this course.
Not all courses are approved for early care and education in every state. Please check State and CEU Approvals page for details.
